Stage & Engagement
Daniel Kim has been a permanent ensemble member at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern since 2012.
With over 50 leading roles in more than 1000 performances
He has exceptionally broad stage experience.
Guest engagements took him to numerous opera houses,
including Altenburg, Bonn, Bremen, Bremerhaven, Flensburg, Gera, Gelsenkirchen, Meiningen,
Pforzheim, Weimar, Regensburg, Luxembourg, and the Korea National Opera.
His repertoire focuses primarily on Mozart.
as well as in the demanding roles of Italian bel canto and French opera.
Concert & Oratorio
Daniel Kim is also in demand internationally as an oratorio singer. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the Evangelist in Johann Sebastian Bach's Passions. For more than 15 years, he enjoyed an intensive artistic collaboration with the conductor Heribert Beissel. He regularly performs in renowned concert halls such as the Berlin Philharmonie, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Glocke Bremen, the Beethovenhalle Bonn, the Seoul Arts Center, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
Discography & Education
His artistic versatility is documented by numerous radio broadcasts (RBB, 3SAT, NDR) and CD recordings. His recordings of Schumann's Dichterliebe and Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin (2017) have received international recommendations from labels including Naxos and Linn Audio. Daniel Kim studied at the Korea National University of Arts and the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin.
